Cent Ans de la Plus Grande Course du Monde

Tour de France

100 Tours is a personal project and not affiliated in any way other than fandom with the Tour de France. For a long time the name of the project was ‘Cent Ans du Tour de France’ which is feeling more and more pretentious every day. Everything designed and managed by Sam Potts, shown here in pre-race mode in 1988. I’m sitting on the handlebars of my teammate Putt’s Cannondale, but the blue forks and first-generation white Look pedals on the right belong to my 1986 Specialized Allez, which probably isn’t a Jim Merz frame (no decal on the left chainstay) but it’s close. Definitely not a Yoshi Konno / 3Rensho Allez but man those are nice.
